①ハンパない
久々に読みたくなって大人買いしてしまった。
読み応えが半端ないね。
最初から地位も戦闘力もレベル100(笑)のエドワード(+アルフォンス)が精神的に成長していくのが丁寧に描かれていて面白い。
お互いに信頼しあっている姿に思わずグッとくること間違いなし。
あと巻末&カバー下の描き下ろしは必見!
②終わりがあることが嬉しい
テレビアニメ版を見てから、原作コミックスのまとめ買いをしました。人気のマンガはご長寿になっていつまでも終わらないものが多いようですが、私は「物語を完結させる＝作品として完成する」と思っているので、こんなに人気のあった作品がきちんと終わってくれることが嬉しいです。作者の良識を感じます。好きな作品なので終わるのは確かには寂しい。しかしいつまでも終わらないのはサザエさんだけでいい。大人になってからコミックスを購入したのは初めてでしたが、カバーの下にもおまけ的な楽しみがあったりしてとても楽しめました。
③兄弟の絆・・・
アニメで二ヶ月観ただけなので、絶対もったいないと思って購入しました。
まとめてよめたので、兄弟二人の絆の強さを感じ取れてよかったです。
④このすがすがしさには、ただただ脱帽です。
最初は、よくコンビニにあるリミックス版で、3冊分（6巻くらいまで？）読んだのですが。
単行本1冊1冊のカバー裏にも仕掛けがあると聞き、いてもたってもいられなくなり全巻「大人買い」。
大正解でした。
本当にこの作者はプロに徹しています。感心するくらい。
漫画が好きで、描くこともこよなく愛していて、そして「少年対象」ということをきちんと大人として
意識し続けているとても良質な漫画です。
ぐいぐいひきこまれるストーリー展開も、そこここに垣間見える作者のポリシーも、決して熱くはなりすぎないのに、
でも、確実に読者をゆさぶる何かを持っています。
ひさしぶりに、心から笑い、泣かされ、そして天高く広がる青空のような印象を持つ漫画に出会いました。
ここ3年間に読んだ漫画の中でも、いちおしです。
最近雑誌では最終回を迎えましたが、この最新刊と雑誌掲載分までの間を埋めるべく、ネットカフェにまででむいて
catch upしちゃいました。ここまでしたくなる漫画に出会えたことに、ひたすら感謝です。
･･･と言ったら、すすめてくれた友人に「だったら新品で買って、作者に印税が入るようにしてあげなさい」と
叱られました。うーん、確かに。
⑤ 【傑作】大風呂敷を完璧な形で畳むことができた作品
荒川 弘さんがイラストを描いている「アルスラーン戦記」の影響で、
また読みたくなって購入しました。
原作準拠のアニメ「鋼の錬金術師 FULLMETAL ALCHEMIST」も最高でした。
原作とアニメ、どちらをとっても最高に面白い作品です。最後の最後まで神がかってます。
「俺の人生半分やるから、お前の人生半分くれ」
「バカね。半分どころか全部あげるわよ」
泣いた。本当に泣いた。
ここまで壮大なスケールで風呂敷を広げるだけ広げまくって、
完璧な形で畳むことができた作品は、他にないような・・・。
多くの作品が大人の事情でズルズル引き伸ばされて駄作となっていくのに。
